James Hemsley from SO Lincolnshire entered his first competition not really knowing how he would fare. He organized his entry with Tony Pert-Jones and duly sent off his entrance fee. James then advised me that we were going to Bournemouth which was only a 450 mile round trip. The event took place on Saturday 15th Oct at the Roy Moore centre in Bournemouth. On our arrival we were greeted by Tony, and James soon met his rivals. His event had 4 competitor’s so they played each other 3 games scores were points from each game.
The competition was close and James’s won the Silver medal he was 15 points off first place. James was presented with his medal by the Mayor and Mayoress’s of Bournemouth. The competition was on all day as both men and women were competing at various levels. It was a great day and James made new friends.
